1. Do we get updates free or do we have to pay extra?

With your NEST subscription account, we typically issue new updates and features sometimes.

We are experiencing massive growth and the great news is you never pay an extra dime.

2. Can you show me how to market the apps as well as create them?

We only give application profile account for your testing apps.

In the future, we will provide full training via our Training Academy with systematic videos instructions and PDF.

3. Do you charge any royalties on apps we create?

None at all! The App’s you create with NEST are completely yours.

4. When releasing my finished App what are the fee’s associated to Windows, Google play, and Apple app store?

In order to submit apps to the Google play store it costs $25, Apple and Windows its $99.

You pay this to them directly to them for a full years access. We have no control over this fee.

We suggest starting with Google play store if you are on a tight budget.

5. Are there any tutorials available for NEST?

We are in the process of developing a user guide that will be available for download from nestpia.com/download.

Also a help menu is being created that will be integrated into the software to help users to be successful in carrying out proper use of components and tools available.

There are also youtube tutorial videos that have been uploaded by other NEST users.

We plan on creating a user based community in which NEST users are able to come together and help one another on the vast uses of NEST platform.

6. How would I receive payment for components I upload onto NEST Store?

NEST users can receive payment for components that they have uploaded through direct deposit for the number of downloads it receive monthly.

7. Are there friend referral benefits?

Currently we do not offer friend referral benefits but the more users there are on NEST the better the community will become!

8. Is there a forum where I could discuss projects with other NEST users?

We are currently in the process of creating a space for NEST users to come together and discuss, work, and help one another.

9. How do I prove that I am a student?

Those with school email addresses can use it as proof to show that they are a student.

Students without school email addresses can prove that they are students by contacting NXST (contact@nxstinc.com) with information that can be checked, such as student identification number.

10. Is NEST only for non-developers or are there more advanced personalization options for those knowledgeable about App development?

NEST users with App development background can have just as much control in App creation as they would have in software solely geared towards app developers.

Developer can optimize functions with customizing code after exporting NEST application source code.

In addition, they can make their own components and import code to upload onto NEST store.

11. How do I share my projects with other NEST users?

We are in the process of creating a space for NEST users to be able to discuss, share and ask questions to other users.

Also we will be integrating a share option on a future update so that project sharing amongst friends can be done easily.

12. What kind of projects do you suggest App creation beginners to begin with?

We suggest new NEST users to begin by first applying simple edits on sample projects that are available with the software.

Sample projects already come preloaded with the layout set so that editing only consists simple input such as what icon image to use and the data the app will present.

13. Does NEST offer professional services to aid users in App creation?

We can help users with App creation more intricately given that the user has exhausted all other resources provided by NEST and the user community.

NEST will work with such users depending on the level of intricacy because if possible we would like users to experience App creation for themselves.

14. What are the minimum and recommended requirements to run NEST?

In order to use NEST on your PC, you need an OS of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Mac OS X version 10.6 or above. The following are additional system requirements.

CPU and Processor: 1GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) / 64-bit (x64) processor (for PC) and Intel processor (for Mac) that supports SSE2

15. Do I need to connect to the Internet to use NEST?
For installation, you do not need to connect online. However, if you wish to keep the software up to date by automatically updating NEST, you need to be connected to the Internet. Also, you need to be connected to the Internet to provide the proper license for your project.
16. How long does it take to download and install NEST?
Downloading the software varies by your Internet speed. Because NEST does not require you to install any other programs besides NEST itself, install should not take too long.
17. Does NEST run on both 32 bit and 64 bit?
NEST is created under 32 bit for MS Windows; however, you can use NEST on 64 bit as well. For MacOS, NEST requires 64 bit.
18. I am unable to install NEST on Mac OS. What do I do?
For some Mac OS, you need to run certification package before installing NEST. Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority must be shown under ‘Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.’
If the certification is not installed yet, please download Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority at http://developer.apple.com/certificationauthority/AppleWWDRCA.cer. Then, run the certification at Finder to install NEST.
19. I am unable to install NEST on Windows. What do I do?

NEST gets installed at c:\NEST. This location may require authorization. Try installing the software at another location.

If you install the software at C:\Program File, due to user authorization, some parts of NEST may not perform accurately.
20. How much is the software? Is there a free trial period?
There is no trial version available for NEST but during our current promotional time NEST is being offered completely FREE.In order to continue using NEST after the promotional time comes to an end subscription is required.

21. Is NEST available in other languages?
Currently, we offer the software in English only. We plan on providing the software in other languages in the future.
22. Can I upload my app to the AppStore or GooglePlay?
You may upload your app made with NEST to the AppStore or GooglePlay as long as you have the applicable developer account. NEST provides the app and the files so that you can upload them to the store; however, we do not offer such service.
23. I want to make smart apps for iOS or Android. What are the requirements?
To create iOS apps, you need Mac OS X Snow Leopard or above and Xcode Version 4.2 or above installed on your computer.
24. Can I use Eclipse Plugin on NEST?
You may use Eclipse Plugins on NEST; however, errors may occur. If there are features or plugins you wish to import to NEST, please email us at technical@nxstinc.com.
25. I am unable to run NEST on my computer.
To run NEST, Java must be installed on your computer. NEST provides Java so that you can run the program; however, depending on your computer, Java may not operate.

For OS Verision 10.6 (Snow Leopard), open os/utilities/terminal and search for ‘java’ to begin installation. You may also install Java by updating the software.
For OS Version 10.7 or above (Lion), Java will be installed automatically when you run NEST.
If you still have problems installing Java, please visit http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp for more information on how to install the software.
